PALM BEACH, Fla. – During a recent press event, former President Donald Trump announced that he’s been haunted this week by ghosts of Medal of Honor recipients who have attempted to teach him the true meaning of selfless service.
These supernatural encounters started on the heel of him making controversial comments comparing Medal of Honor recipients to Presidential Medal of Freedom recipients during an event at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey Aug. 15, 2024.
“People [who] get the Congressional Medal of Honor, which I’ve given to many, are often horribly wounded or dead,” Trump said in an interview after the event. “They’re often dead, they get it posthumously. And when you get the Congressional Medal of Honor, I always consider that to be the ultimate — but it is a painful thing to get it.”
Local paranormal investigation expert, Leon Atterwood believes these apparitions have begun making themselves known to the former president because of the military community’s disdain toward his remarks and disapproval of their fellow servicemember’s sacrifice in the line of duty.
“The military is a proud community that values service and sacrifice above all else,” said Atterwood. “I believe President Trump’s history of disapproval for military members, particularly those who get captured, injured, or killed has had a rippling affect across the political aisle.”
“You know, it’s one thing to not like a person but to try and discredit them for their service and sacrifice to our nation, especially when you’re running for the highest office in the land and are a known draft-dodger, is something no one should tolerate,” said Army Command Sgt. Maj. (ret.) Jeremy Brown. “And listen, I’m not trying to disparage anything anyone did to earn the Presidential Medal of Freedom, I just don’t think the two should be compared.”
According to Trump, the first ghost to wake him in the middle of the night was that of Pvt. Frederick Alber. Alber attempted to teach Trump about the importance of love, relationships, and family as it pertains to a servicemember’s decision to serve. He did this by transporting him to the Battle of Spotsylvania Court House, Virginia during the American Civil War, where a young Alber fought to free one of his fellow soldiers from enemy capture.
“Bah, Humbug,” said Trump.
On the second night, Trump was visited by the spirit of Sgt. 1st Class Paul Smith, a Medal of Honor recipient from the ongoing Global War on Terror. He, like the ghost from the night before, transports the former president to a dusty battlefield outside the Baghdad International Airport. There, the two men watch as Smith climbs aboard a damaged personnel carrier and fights to his last breath with the mounted .50 caliber machine gun to save more than 100 of his fellow soldiers.
The apparition explained that if you reject those who are willing to lay down their lives to protect the things they love, the relationships they’ve fostered, and the family waiting for them back home, a civilization of free men will not stand.
“Bah, Humbug,” said Trump.
On the third night, Trump was visited by the faceless spirit wearing a military dress uniform. Without saying a word, the ghosts transported Trump to a dingy pawnshop in Newark, New Jersey where two vagabonds wearing red MAGA hats and camo pants try and sell some personal effects from a dead man they say owed them money. He was then transported to a modest home Belle Glade, Florida where his children Ivanka, Eric, and Donald Jr. were bickering over morsels of food.
Trump, in a cold sweat, attempting to figure out what lesson this spirt was trying to teach him, plead with the ghost to tell him who that dead man was. Trump suddenly found himself standing over a hastily buried grave on the overgrown first hole of his Bedminster Golf Club. A makeshift headstone on the plot read: Donald J. Trump.
Allegedly, the former president begged the ghost to undo all the events of this nightmarish vision, but the ghost remained silent, pointing his boney finger to the former president’s heart before vanishing in a puff of smoke, leaving Trump in the relative safety of his own bed.
“What we have here is a classic case of a spiritual vestige representing the past, present, and future,” said Atterwood. “According to Christian beliefs, the recipient of these visitations is meant to examine their shortcomings and reassess who they are as a person and learn a lesson in morality, empathy, and generosity. I don’t find it very surprising these spirts visited Mr. Trump given his track record. The only question that remains is, will he learn from it and reverse the outcome of that final vision, or will he deny it and see it all come to pass? Only time will tell.”
