PALM BEACH, Fla. – Former president Donald Trump announced via his Truth Social account that he plans to leave America if Donald Trump wins the presidential election this November.

Trump is the latest celebrity to announce their potential emigration from the United States if the former Apprentice host is elected as the 47th president of the United States. Other famous celebrities who’ve also claimed they’ll leave the country include Barbara Streisand, Whoopi Goldberg, and Cher.

“I don’t know where I’ll go, but I can’t stay here,” Trump said. “They just finished the Olympics in Paris. Beautiful games, the Olympics. I love the Olympics and all the amazing athletes doing that … the twirling and the swimming. It’s not easy, I can tell you that. I tried the pommel horse one time. I was good. I probably could’ve been a world champion, that’s how good I was. The best ever.”

After rambling for nearly 20 more minutes, going down a rabbit hole of random thoughts and unconnected ideas, Trump also said he would most likely move to Argentina if he won the election.

“It’s a beautiful country of beautiful people and, more importantly, beautiful women,” Trump said. “You know, some people believe Hitler moved there and didn’t, you know. I don’t know if that’s true, but I believe it is. Hitler was a very smart man. A good leader, too. People say he’s a bad man, but I think he was very smart. He probably could’ve won the war if he had smarter people around him. That’s the truth the fake news media doesn’t want you to know.”

If Trump’s pledge to depart the country if he is elected caught you off guard, you’re not the only one. Members of the former president’s inner circle quickly moved in to try and defend his statements against the inevitable shit storm that was preparing to rain down on them from the liberal media.

“Obviously, President Trump isn’t leaving America if he wins the election,” said J.D. Vance, Trump’s current choice for vice president. “The man bleeds red, white, and blue and cares more about himse—the country—than himself. We’ve seen him prove that time and time again. What he was doing was mocking the stupid liberal Hollywood elites who say they’ll leave the country if he’s elected, because, well, they’re dumb. Plus, if he wins and leaves, that will leave me in charge, and do you think anyone—especially President Trump—wants that? I know I don’t.”

And while many of his opponents across the aisle have criticized Trump, saying his recent tirade is nothing more than unhinged ramblings of a man in cognitive decline, some moderate democrats and undecided independent voters were left more befuddled about who they should vote for than they were before.

“On one hand, if he’s actually not lying about this, that means we may never see him again which would definitely lower my stress and anxiety,” said Brian Henderson, an independent from Idaho. “On the other, however, that means I would actually want him to win, which I don’t, but might now. It’s a really hard choice to make.”

At this time, Trump has not walked back any of his comments, leaving the political world wondering: is he telling the truth or is this just another lie to cause chaos and turn this election into a spectacle for ratings rather than an honest transfer of democratic power?
