Trey Gutierrez, better known on YouTube as Grow Your Account Today, began his social media career sixteen minutes ago and has already grown his channel to four followers (only two of which are his alternate accounts.

Brad: Trey, your growth and trajectory in a highly competitive marketplace, during a time when fighting algorithms is more-and-more difficult, is really inspiring. What is the number one tip you can share with us about growing your audience?

Trey: Oh, dawg, that’s easy. All you gotta do is create evergreen content about shit people are always looking for. Like me, I create videos telling people what they need to do to grow their audience. Everyone is looking to do that. Do I actually know how to do that? Hell naw, but those headlines get the clicks, dawg and I’m well on my way to getting monetized.

Brad: That’s it? You just create content about how to get followers and get followers, without actually knowing how to get followers? Aren’t there, like, millions of videos out there that tell you how to get followers? How do you stand out in that saturated market?

Trey: [Laughs] That’s the best part, dawg. Everyone wants to know how to grow their audience and become the next big social media influencer because regular jobs pay like ass, it costs too much to live, and we all need side hustles just to make it feel like we’re not drowning floodwaters caused by the corporate oligarchy. So, they want this content, and keep searching for this content, even though it’s all bullshit. I don’t even know what an algorithm is.

Brad: So, let me get this straight. You just create clickbait on topics people genuinely want to learn more about. Doesn’t that just drown out the legitimate content that can help people?

Trey: I don’t give a fuck. This is a dog-eat-dog world and this dog is gonna hunt. Woo-woo!

So, there you have it. If you want to get big and make money on social media, don’t worry about creating unique content that can better the world, just make clickbait and take you share of the pie.
