LOS ANGELES – Taylor Swift made history at the 66th annual Grammy Awards when her album Midnights won album of the year, making Swift the only person in the show’s history to earn this coveted award four different times. As one might imagine, this record-breaking evening put the pop princess in the spotlight which had Swifties around the world jumping for joy.

However, there was one demographic of viewer that was less than thrilled to see the Karma singer on their screens again: misogynistic NFL fans.

“I just don’t understand why people are so obsessed with her,” said Gary McIntosh, a diehard Baltimore Ravens fan. “Is she talented? Yes. Attractive? Duh. A positive influence on an entire generation of young women? Of course. But I’m so tired of the cameras pandering to her wherever she is. She stole football from us. Why can’t we get some shots of Travis Kelce at the Grammys instead? Flip the script. Or is showing a successful man sexist now?”

Given the tremendous amount of media coverage Kelce and Swift’s romance has received since they made the relationship public in the summer of 2023, photographers would’ve undoubtedly trampled each other to get shots of the power couple, if Kelce was there. Unfortunately for the NFL fans hoping to see the Kansas City Chief’s star tight end on the red carpet, he was with his team practicing for their own star-studded event—the Super Bowl—next weekend.

“The average football game is, like, three hours and do you know how much of that is spent watching Taylor Swift? Like 24 seconds. That’s way too much,” said Randy Cohen, a random guy who apparently hates women. “I was looking forward to watching the Grammys to support my boy Jelly Roll and who do I see? Taylor frickin’ Swift. I’m so tired of seeing her super successive face on my T.V.”

Of course, not everyone is as disappointed in seeing Taylor Swift. Grammy’s host and former Daily Show host Noah Trevor even went as far as to poke fun of the people who are tired of hearing about the popstar.

“By the way, I think it’s so unfair how NFL fans have been complaining about the cameras cutting to Taylor Swift. Right? Like she’s controlling the cameras at the games. Just let her live,” Noah said. “In fact, on behalf of Taylor, I’m going to give her a break. Every time Taylor Swift is mentioned, I’m going to cut to someone who played football. That’s what I will do.”

The cameras then panned to former Los Angeles Ram linebacker-turned movie star Terry Crews.

Even though Kelce wasn’t able to attend the Grammys in person, that didn’t stop him from making the couple’s groupies from going wild—or supporting his girlfriend. The football star “liked” a photo of Swift posted by NPR on Instagram, which is basically the 21st Century’s version of spilling secrets.

“Dad just liked mom’s picture!!” one fan wrote.

“TRAVIS LIKED,” yet another fan squealed, adding three sobbing emoji.

“I wish I could go support Taylor at the Grammys and watch her win every single award that she’s nominated for,” Travis said on an episode of The Pat McAfee Show. “But I think I got practice on Sunday, or I think Sunday is a travel day. I know I got practice on Saturday. But Sunday is travel day.”

The good news for all the Taylor Swift haters is that they won’t have to see her on their screens at the Grammys for a whole year. Unfortunately for them, she is most definitely going to be gracing their screens at Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas.
